VP Commercial and Strategy
Join us in scaling a breakthrough technology company that’s redefining how marine operations are engineered and executed.
Ready to Lead the Commercial Revolution in Marine Operations?
Entail is at the forefront of revolutionizing marine operations through the power of automation and advanced engineering. Combining deep domain expertise with a strong tech backbone, we are pushing the boundaries of what engineering analysis can be. ANALYSE.Suite is a next-generation platform that transforms how marine operations are engineered and executed. By combining advanced scheduling, real-time collaboration, AI-driven analysis, and automated reporting, it provides offshore contractors with a radically more efficient way to plan and deliver complex marine projects. The platform systematizes engineering know-how, integrates weather risk modeling, and streamlines communication across stakeholders — from tender to offshore execution.
As we scale our impact across the industry, we are seeking a visionary VP Commercial and Strategy to drive the next phase of our commercial growth. This role is critical in shaping our future as a technology platform leader, enhancing our revenue streams through strategic sales initiatives and robust business development. If you are a strategic thinker with deep industry insight, commercial grit, and a passion for innovation, this is your chance to shape the future of marine operations.
With your help, we will position ANALYSE.Suite to become the go-to solution for smarter, faster, and safer operations across the industry.
About the Role
As our VP Commercial and Strategy, you will be a key member of our executive team. You will be responsible for articulating the value proposition of our technology platform and driving its adoption across the marine operations industry. Success in this role requires a unique blend of industry knowledge and commercial acumen, along with the ability to build trusted relationships at senior levels with marine contractors, operators, and other key stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead Commercial Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy that aligns with Entail's vision of ANALYSE.Better, leveraging our ANALYSE.Suite to provide improved marine operations and reduced total costs to a broader market.
- Strengthen Industry Presence: Establish and nurture high-level relationships with key stakeholders across the marine operations industry to secure new business opportunities and partnerships.
- Revenue Model Optimization: Develop and refine scalable, recurring revenue models that maximize value from our technology platform.
- Product-Market Alignment: Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure that our solutions directly solve critical industry pain points and deliver measurable value.
- Drive Product Commercialization: Oversee the commercialization of new products and services, ensuring they meet market needs and are integrated smoothly into our sales offerings.
- Scale Strategically: Leverage data-driven market insights to understand customer needs, refine offerings to enhance market fit and customer satisfaction, and penetrate new market segments.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Commercial Leader with a strong track record of driving technology adoption and revenue growth in marine operations sectors.
- Offshore/Marine Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of product development, market trends, and digital transformation in the offshore/marine operations industry, and sufficient technical understanding to credibly discuss operational challenges and solutions with marine operations professionals.
- Relationship Builder: Trusted, confident communicator with a knack for opening doors and building long-term partnerships with key stakeholders in the industry.
- Strategic Vision, Tactical Execution: Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to drive business growth through innovative commercial strategies.
- Innovator at Heart: Comfortable in fast-moving environments and excited by the challenge of transforming traditional industries.
While hands-on engineering experience in marine operations is a valuable advantage for understanding the real-world challenges our technology addresses, it’s not an absolute requirement. We’re looking for the right mindset and drive to make an impact. If you bring strong industry insight, commercial drive, ability to understand complex customer needs, and a keen interest in transforming how marine operations are planned and executed, we strongly encourage you to apply.
What You’ll Get:
- A pivotal role in a rapidly growing company at the cutting edge of marine operations technology.
- Direct influence on commercial and product direction, with a seat at the executive table.
- Competitive compensation package, including performance-based incentives tied to growth, as well as the opportunity to become a shareholder through equity or stock options.
- A collaborative and dynamic work environment that fosters innovation and professional growth.
- A comprehensive benefits package including paid phone and internet, free lunch, flexible hours with part-time home office options, health and travel insurance (via Storebrand and RIF), occupational injury and group life insurance (via RIF), salary top-up during parental leave (up to 10G), and access to a well-equipped gym at our Oslo office with weekly team workouts.
Important Requirements
Working languages: Norwegian and English. Professional working proficiency in both languages is a requirement.
Location: Oslo/Nydalen. The role requires working from the office part of the week to stay closely connected with the team.
Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel extensively to build relationships and drive adoption in key markets is essential.

About Entail
Entail was founded in 2016. A team of engineers met and quickly realized that they worked well together and most importantly, had a desire to dedicate themselves to analyses, automation, and programming. Together, they set out on a mission to challenge and change the status quo of engineering analysis.
We use engineering to drive innovation within our areas of expertise. But more importantly, we see large gains in innovating the way the engineering is performed. Using cloud computing, automation, and data science approaches, we’re able to greatly increase the quality and efficiency of engineering analysis. This makes us a key player in projects related to design, development, and innovation in the ocean space.
